Outfit posts are back! They’re back! I moved and got a dog and honestly it messed with my outfit post game. It took me a while to find a good place at my new house to take photos. Basically Frida and I have a 5 to 10 minute window in the early evening after she’s home from work and before it gets too dark in which to take pictures. And now that we’ve figured it out, the outfit posts are back.
Shirt: Vintage 1970s from Jet Rag
Choker: Forever 21
Jeans: “Mom jean” from Forever 21
Shoes: Platform sandals from Mossimo for Target
Brows: NYX brow cream
I love all-vintage outfits (I’m never afraid of looking costumey. Who cares) – but it’s fun to mix vintage pieces with modern ones, too – it’s a bit of a challenge and I like trying to make take disparate pieces and make them into a cohesive look. In this outfit we have a shirt from the 70s, modern jeans that are based on a 90s fit, and modern shoes and accessories. The makeup look is very classic and more heavy-handed than I usually wear.
Just in case you forgot that Frida and I are real cute, too.
I shot a couple of YouTube videos today, which I’m glad about because I was too busy last week and missed a couple of my usual upload days. Today’s video is a story about a time I accidentally went to an AA meeting and was too embarrassed to admit that I had actually been looking for the church youth group so I pretended to be there on purpose.
Come say hi on social media! @erikaheidewald and @erikaandfrida
